Vail, Colorado – November 8, 2011 – The 7th annual SteamMaster Golf tournament gave $20,565.84 to its beneficiaries. Recipients of this year's event were Vail Valley Charitable Fund, Minturn Community Fund - Family Emergency Fund, Vail Symposium and the Matthews Family Education Fund.

Colorado Basement Systems is a division of SteamMaster Restoration and Cleaning. The event had 34 teams in attendance and was held on Friday, September 30th at the spectacular Fazio Course in Red Sky Ranch in Wolcott, Colorado – rated the # 1 Golf Course in Colorado by Travel + Leisure Golf.

Tournament Administrator, Raj Manickam commented, “SteamMaster has raised over $277,384.00 over the last seven tournaments. Each year we rotate two out of the four beneficiaries to include new non-profits and charitable organizations.”

Gary Gilman, wins Ralph S Bloss National Award at Connections Conference

Las Vegas, Nevada. September 8, 2011 – Gary Gilman, CMRS., President and owner of SteamMaster Restoration and Cleaning and Colorado Basement Systems received the ICS Cleaning Specialist Ralph S. Bloss Humanitarian Award at a luncheon attended by over a 1000 cleaning and restoration contractors.

The award honors member of the floor care industry whose compassion, self-sacrifice, leadership, and creativity produce significant and outstanding benefits for mankind. The award may be presented to any member of the floor care industry, well known or ‘unsung’ hero that is nominated by another member of the floor care industry throughout Unites States and Canada.

The award is a celebration of the life of Ralph S. Bloss, an individual who touched, counseled, and inspired thousands of people in the floor care industry.

Avon, Co – The Town of Avon is excited to host the first ever Dock Dogs Weekend in Harry A. Nottingham Park on Saturday, August 20th and Sunday, August 21st. “This event promises fun for the whole family, even the four-legged type”, said Danita Chirichillo, Special Events Supervisor for the Town of Avon.

“Dock Dogs Weekend” is all about man’s best friend! The event weekend features Dog Town where you can enjoy fantastic food and an ice cold beer from Crazy Mountain Brewery, test your pooch at the “AKC Good Citizen’s” testing arena, Canine Country School will be offering agility demonstrations and free clinics, Dunk-n-Dog open swim area in Nottingham Lake, pet friendly vendors showcasing their products and offering free samples. Vail Valley Animal ER will be on-site offering assistance to your animal for minor injuries such as scrapes, scratches and hydration issues during the event weekend.

As part of the Dock Dogs Weekend, the Town of Avon is partnering with the Eagle Valley Humane Society and Vail Pet Partners to present the fourth annual “Doggy Dash” event on Sunday, August 21st at 8:00 a.m. All proceeds from the Doggy Dash go directly to the Eagle Valley Humane Society dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of all animals. To register for the Doggy Dash 5k Fun Run/Walk please visit www.avon.org and click on the Dock Dogs button or come early on Sunday morning for on-site registration. Pre-registration before August 19th is only $15 per dog, humans are free or $20 cash only on event day.

Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the national Dock Dogs competition to include “Big Air”, “Extreme Vertical” and “Speed Retrieve”. If your dog is not quite ready for competition you can still participate in the pre-event training seminars taking place each morning at 8:30 a.m.

Colorado Basement Systems Removes Rodent Houseguests For Homeowner

MINTURN, COLORADO -- March 9, 2009: Colorado Basement Systems LLC has equipped a homeowner in Hartsel, Colorado with a conditioned crawl space. The four day-four man crew install of the CleanSpace Encapsulation System first required the removal of batt and expandable foam insulation originally attached to the sub-floor, along with the removal of unwelcome rodent houseguests.

The home is a weekend getaway retreat owned by Carl (CJ) Thoutt and his family. Mr. Thoutt contacted Colorado Basement Systems after a Google search for crawlspace solutions and is pleased with the outcome of the installation.

"The house has never been warmer and we sleep better knowing there are no more unwanted guests in the crawl space," says Thoutt. "Colorado Basement Systems' solution to the rodent problem made the most sense and the work was executed exactly as it was proposed."

"Not only did we remove dead rodents and the insulation from the sub-floor," says Lynette Marie Lacerda, Colorado Basement Systems' General Manager, "But we created a conditioned crawlspace by keeping the walls insulated, closing up the vents, adding expandable foam along the perimeter rim joist, adding dehumidification and encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace. Colorado Basement Systems Completes CleanSpace Install for Local Police Department

Colorado Basement Systems LLC recently completed a CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system installation for a municipal project in Hayden, Colorado. The project consisted of a new station for the Hayden Police Department. Colorado Basement Systems was awarded the bid after the project's architect, Ron Szerlong Associates, PC from Steamboat Springs, specifically requested the CleanSpace liner used by Colorado Basement Systems.

The 20 millimeter CleanSpace liner is thicker and more durable than standard liners and contains a safe, odorless antimicrobial additive, Ultrafresh, manufactured directly into it. Dimpled polyethylene drainage matting was placed down first before the liner to create an air space and to make the installation more resistant to tearing. CleanSpace can be installed in new and existing construction, and even on concrete floors in crawl spaces.

The 5,600 plus square feet installation was completed in two days and required five technicians.

At the recent Healthy Homes Tour, Colorado Basement Systems LLC demonstrated that there is a solution for turning crawl spaces into usable, “green” healthy spaces.
